The Tanger Pattern is a versatile and easy-to-sew T-shirt pattern designed for women. Featuring a straight, slightly loose fit, this essential tee offers multiple customization options to suit your style. Choose from three neckline variations – crew neck, scoop neck, or V-neck – and three sleeve styles: classic short sleeves, short sleeves with turn-ups, or long sleeves. The back neckline is finished with a neat bias binding for a clean, professional look. A wardrobe staple and a great project for beginners and experienced sewists alike!

• 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52 (French sizes)
• 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 (US sizes)
• 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 (UK sizes)

The size 32 corresponds approximately to a 14-year-old, and the 34 to a 16-year-old

Fabrics:

• Stretch knit: cotton, linen, viscose or modal jersey, interlock, rib, terry cloth, or honeycomb jersey.
• As an option: ribbing for the neckline band.

• Haberdashery:

  • Stabiliser tape to reinforce the shoulder seams.
  • As an option: 30 cm (12″) of bias binding for finishing the neckline.

  

  • The neckline bands can be cut from the main fabric or ribbing.
  • The neckline finishing bias can be replaced with pre-folded bias binding available from haberdashery stores.
