The Augusta zip skirt is a versatile all-year-round skirt – but it’s especially fitted for those chilly autumn days when it’s time to pull out warm tights and woollies. This skirt is easily combined with layers of jumpers and jackets.
For the Augusta zip skirt, you will need a sturdy, woven fabric, preferably a thicker quality of corduroy, denim, canvas or other woven fabrics.
The skirt is fitted with two large pockets and closes with a long zipper in the front. You can choose between different skirt lengths in each size. The length of the zipper is the same as the length of the skirt, so you choose the zipper length that you want for the whole length of the skirt.
Fabric consumption:
The main pattern pieces will fit in the width of the fabric, and the fabric usage will be approximately the same as the length of the skirt (20-55 cm/7.9”-21.6”) + 5 cm/2”. For sizes 146 and up you must add 35 cm/13.8” for the waistband and pockets. In addition, you will need 25 cm/9.8” in a thinner woven cotton fabric, for the lining of the waistband and pockets.
Fabric consumption is measured on a ´150 cm /59”wide fabric, and has been rounded up.
