Ida victoria, Flagre pants
THE FLAGRE PANTS by Ida Victoria are light and airy summer trousers, without side seams, with trouser legs that overlap on each side. The trousers can be sewn in both woven fabrics and jersey.
The fabric should have a nice drape, and e.g. woven viscose, viscose jersey or washed linen are well-suited fabrics. In the waist, there is an elastic waistband that holds the pants in place, and makes them flexible and comfortable to wear.
The trousers can be sewn in full length, or as shorts. For the full length, you have three height choices: Petite, standard or high.
The pattern includes sizes XXS to 4XL. On page 5 you will find a table with measurements.
Fabric consumption:
Petite Standard Tall Shorts
XXS – M: 165 cm / 65” 175 cm / 69” 185 cm / 73” 100 cm / 40”
L – XL: 175 cm / 69” 185 cm / 73” 195 cm / 77” 110 cm / 44”
2XL – 4XL: 195 cm / 77” 200 cm 79” 215 cm / 85” 130 cm / 52”
In addition you will need 15 – 30 cm / 6 – 12” rib knit or jersey.
The fabric consumption is measured on 150 cm wide fabric, and is rounded up.
The Flagre pants were made on a holiday trip, with the sewing machine at our cabin. The trousers in the
picture are the first Flagre pants, sewn in woven viscose, with a jersey waistband. I wanted a pair of pants that is more similar to a skirt. – With the skirt’s loose and flowy properties, but with two trouser legs, to avoid shafing.
“Flagre” is the Norwegian word for something that flutters, and blows in the wind.
